NVIDIA and Nokia have announced a $1 billion partnership to develop AI-native 5G-Advanced and 6G networks. NVIDIA will invest $1 billion in Nokia to accelerate innovation in AI-powered radio access networks (AI-RAN), marking a major step toward the next generation of telecommunications. This collaboration aims to bring intelligent, adaptive, and energy-efficient mobile networks that integrate computing and connectivity at the edge.

The partnership introduces the new NVIDIA Aerial RAN Computer (ARC-Pro) — a 6G-ready platform that combines connectivity, computing, and sensing capabilities. Nokia will use this technology to expand its RAN portfolio, allowing telecom operators to smoothly transition from 5G to 6G through software upgrades. T-Mobile U.S. will be among the first to test and integrate AI-RAN systems in its network starting in 2026.

Dell Technologies will provide the infrastructure support with its PowerEdge servers, ensuring scalability and performance for AI-RAN deployment. Together, these companies aim to build AI-native networks capable of supporting the explosive growth of mobile AI applications — from generative AI to smart devices like drones and AR/VR glasses — paving the way for America’s leadership in 6G innovation.
